Instant hot cereal for breakfast

Hot breakfast cereals account for 7 percent of all breakfast cereals. They are available in three forms: regular, quick cooking and instant.

On cold mornings, a hot cereal breakfast is a much a better option than a cold cereal version. Hot cereal helps get the rest of the body going after the brain cells have started working.

It definitely people gets started in a better frame of mind. It is an excellent way to start the day. The instant products are very convenient, sold in a variety of flavors tailored to ethnic preferences and offer warmth and nourishment of hot cereals.

Hot cereals are usually made from unrefined grains – most notably oats and wheat. Many hot cereals aren’t fortified with vitamins and minerals and so contain only the nutrients found in the grain itself.

These include fiber, B vitamins, vitamin E, iron, zinc, calcium, selenium and magnesium. Most instant hot cereals do not come with the extra sugar that some of the cold cereals do, instead of white sugar there are many white sugar substitutes: brown sugar, molasses, corn syrup, pancake syrup or honey.

Hot cereals made from whole grains are excellent. Hot cereal can make a healthy breakfast, but the one claiming to contain fruit may offer little actual fruit, with more fruit flavoring and artificial colors. It is also ideal for preparing instant hot cereals because single servings can be prepared directly in a microwave-safe serving bowl in a one-step process.

The ease of preparation and the availably of a wide variety of flavors make instant hot cereals such as instant oatmeal a very versatile product. Hot cereals are often among the breakfast menu items at sit-down restaurants, cafeterias, and hotels. Oat meal, the most common of the hot cereal, is a healthy choice.
